On July 3rd, 2024, S.R. Thorat Dairy in Sangamner had the pleasure of hosting 175 enthusiastic students from the 4th standard of Matoshri Rukaminibai Damodar Malpani Vidyalaya, Sangamner. This visit was a part of the school’s educational outreach program aimed at providing students with practical knowledge and firsthand experience in various industries.
The students, accompanied by their teachers, were greeted warmly by our team. The excitement was palpable as the children stepped into the premises of S.R. Thorat Dairy, eager to learn about the journey of milk from farm to table. Our HR and supporting team briefed the students about the day’s activities and the importance of the dairy industry in our daily lives.
The visit commenced with a tour of our state-of-the-art processing plant. The students were fascinated to see the entire process, from milk collection to pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging. They were particularly intrigued by the advanced machinery and technology used in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and quality control.
To make the visit more engaging, we organized interactive sessions where students could ask questions and gain deeper insights. Our experts explained the nutritional benefits of dairy products and the importance of a balanced diet. The students showed great curiosity, asking numerous questions about the different types of dairy products and their production processes.
One of the highlights of the visit was the hands-on experience in our product development lab. The students even tried their hand at churning butter, an activity that brought much joy and laughter. Additionally, we took this opportunity to educate the students about our sustainable practices. They learned about our efforts in waste management, water conservation, and renewable energy use.
