As of August 31, 2024, a remarkable initiative by the Government of Maharashtra has directly benefitted dairy farmers throughout the state. Under the leadership of Honorable Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, the Minister of Revenue, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Development, the government has credited a milk subsidy of ₹5 per liter directly into the accounts of dairy farmers for the period of July 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024. This move reflects a deep commitment to supporting the livelihood of Maharashtra’s dairy farmers and fostering growth in the dairy sector.
